Which days each date range covers, why the dashboard and the insights pages count differently, and how your numbers line up with what customers see on Hellopeter.
Every number in your portal is measured over a date range. Most of the time you don't need to think about it. But there are two different kinds of range in the portal, and knowing which is which explains almost every "why does this say something different over here?" question.
Rolling ranges count back from today. "Last 6 months" means the 6 months ending today. The window moves forward every day.
Calendar ranges cover whole months, and the current month is not included. "6 months" means the last 6 complete calendar months. The window only moves on the 1st of each month.
You can tell them apart by the label. If it starts with "Last", it's rolling. If it's just "6 months", it's calendar.
The Performance section on your dashboard uses rolling
ranges, with one exception.

Wherever you see a percentage change, it compares your selected range to the range of the same length immediately before it.
• 7 days compares to the 7 days before that
• 1 month compares to the month before that
• 12 months compares to the 12 months before that
• A custom range compares to the same number of days before your start date
Your business profile on Hellopeter shows your rating, review count, reply time and NPS for the last 12 months. That is the same rolling window as Last 12 months on your dashboard, so the two always agree.
The insights pages use calendar months, so their 12-month figure covers a slightly different set of days and may not match your public profile exactly. That's expected.
The dashboard counts back 12 months from today. The insights pages count the last 12 complete calendar months. They overlap almost entirely, but not exactly.
It runs from today's date last month up to today. From the 9th of one month to the 9th of the next is 30, 31 or 32 days depending on the month.
Days run midnight to midnight UTC, which is 2am to 2am South African time. A review posted at 1am on the 10th counts on the 9th.
